The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the accounting operations of a commercial investment company with multiple investments and legal entities. This position is responsible for the coordination and execution of account reconciliations, budget compilation, and serving as back-up support for the accounts payable function. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing financial information across multiple entities while meeting strict deadlines and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the general ledger for multiple entities by accurately processing and recording all company invoices, payments, intercompany transactions, and purchases
- Coordinate and perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies
- Compile, track, and organize budget data across multiple investments and operating entities; assist with budget preparation and variance analysis
- Serve as back-up to the accounts payable function, including invoice coding, approval workflow coordination, and payment processing
- Review, verify, and organize financial, legal, and contract documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies
- Maintain well-structured and auditable financial records, including digital and physical filing systems, for multiple entities and investment structures
- Summarize and prepare financial records, schedules, and supporting documentation for internal management review and external reporting purposes
- Assist with audit preparation by compiling requested schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
- Support process improvements by identifying opportunities to enhance organization, efficiency, and consistency across accounting functions
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and vendors to resolve accounting issues and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (B.B.A.), Accounting, Finance, or equivalent accounting experience
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity, investment, real estate, or professional services environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple entities, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with multi-entity accounting systems preferred
- Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent documentation and process discipline
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
