Our client, a long-established and highly regarded accountancy firm in Dublin, is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join its growing specialist tax team.
This is a senior leadership role working closely with the Tax Director and reporting directly to the Partners. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the firm’s tax offering, driving high-quality service delivery, and supporting the continued growth of the practice.
The role offers a strong blend of tax compliance and advisory, supporting a diverse portfolio of personal and corporate clients across all major tax heads. It is ideally suited to a career tax specialist who wants visibility at Partner level, meaningful client exposure, and influence over both strategy and team development.

What We Need (Non-Negotiable Criteria)
- Candidates with only general accounting experience will not be considered
- Minimum 3 years’ post-CTA qualification experience within a professional practice tax team
- At least 12 months’ experience in a management or supervisory role
- Strong technical tax knowledge across multiple tax heads
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised, commercially aware, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office
- A genuine commitment to ongoing development as a tax specialist
You will:
- Own and grow a varied portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients
- Deliver high-quality tax compliance and advisory services while driving client retention and revenue
- Manage portfolio financials, including billing, WIP, cash collection, and profitability
- Review and oversee the preparation of tax returns, ensuring technical accuracy and timely delivery
- Lead advisory engagements across:
- Corporate Tax
- Income & Payroll Taxes
- Capital Gains Tax (CGT)
- Capital Acquisitions Tax (CAT)
- VAT
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing practical, commercially focused tax solutions
- Partner closely with Tax Directors and Partners on complex technical matters, strategic projects, and business development initiatives
- Provide clear, commercially relevant analysis of tax issues to support informed decision-making
- Collaborate with other service lines to deliver integrated client solutions
- Mentor, develop, and performance-manage team members, building a high-performing and commercially aware tax team
