Financial Controller

PE-backed manufacturing company experiencing strong growth is seeking a hands-on Controller Manager to lead accounting, cost accounting, and financial reporting. This role is based onsite in Northwest Houston (near the racetrack) and reports directly to the CFO
.

• Very hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• CPA required with strong manufacturing cost accounting & inventory experience
• Manage and develop 3–4 direct reports
• 7+ years of manufacturing accounting experience required
• Comp: ~$150K base + 10% bonus
• Onsite daily (with flexibility);
  occasional travel to production facilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close; ensure accurate GAAP financials
• Lead cost accounting, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to improve gross margin visibility and inventory controls
• Prepare management reporting, budgeting, and forecast support
• Strengthen internal controls and accounting processes in a PE-backed environment
• Manage audits, tax coordination, and external reporting
• Oversee working capital, cash management, AP/AR, and inventory accuracy

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance;
  CPA A MUST!
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing
• Proven leadership experience with direct reports
• Deep knowledge of standard costing, inventory, and manufacturing finance
• ERP experience in a manufacturing environment (Sage
  300 a plus)
• PE-backed company experience preferred
