Interim Controller

A large, complex, publicly traded organization within the infrastructure services sector is seeking an experienced Interim Public Company Controller
. This role will provide hands‑on leadership across financial reporting, close, controls, and public‑company compliance while supporting a dynamic, multi‑entity operating environment.

The ideal consultant has deep experience in SEC reporting, SOX, complex accounting, and multi‑segment operations
, and is comfortable stepping into a fast‑paced, high‑visibility role with executive and audit committee interaction.

• Lead and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for a public company environment
• Ensure timely and accurate SEC reporting
  , including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and related disclosures
• Own and manage SOX compliance
  , internal controls, and coordination with internal audit and external auditors
• Provide technical accounting leadership on complex matters such as:
• Revenue recognition (long‑term contracts / percentage of completion)
• Purchase accounting and integrations
• Leases, debt, equity, and stock‑based compensation
• Consolidations and intercompany accounting
• Oversee preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
• Partner closely with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and operational finance leaders
• Support external audit processes and serve as a primary point of contact for auditors
• Identify process improvement opportunities within accounting operations and reporting workflows
• Mentor and provide day‑to‑day leadership to the controllership and accounting teams
• Assist with special projects, including system enhancements, integrations, or process remediation as needed
