As a Project Accountant
, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of client and internal projects. You will ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance with financial controls. This role is critical in supporting project delivery teams with real-time financial insights and ensuring the financial success of each engagement.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, forecasts, and actuals.
- Prepare financial reports and dashboards for project stakeholders.
- Track project costs, revenue recognition, and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal financial policies.
- Collaborate with project managers to align financial planning with project milestones.
- Perform variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Support billing, invoicing, and cash flow tracking for projects.
- Maintain accurate records of project-related financial transactions.
- Assist in financial audits and internal reviews related to project accounting.

- Minimum 35 years of experience in project accounting or financial management.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Project cost control and variance analysis
- ERP and financial systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365)
- Cash flow and revenue tracking
- Strong Excel and data visualization skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualification (fully qualified).
- Additional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.
- Year 3: Manage financials for multiple projects and support advisory teams.
- Year 4: Lead financial planning for strategic projects and mentor junior staff.
- Year 5: Progress to Senior Project Accountant or Finance Business Partner.
- Functional Systems Training & Qualification Classes are provided upon acceptance to ensure seamless integration into ITCs advisory and digital platforms.
