Staff Accountant

TBG | The Bachrach Group is partnered with one of the leading oilfield services company on their search for a STAFF ACCOUNTANT
.

• Provide accounting support through review and analysis of financial information and transactions.
• Conduct detailed analysis of income statements by function and region.
• Maintain and monitor financial systems, internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP.
• Support monthly and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Prepare, review, and process journal entries within the ERP - working knowledge of SAGE 100 as well as proficiency with MS Office Suite and other accounting systems.
• Support monthly financial statement preparation and reporting package development including preparation of annual financial disclosures and reports.
• Ensure adherence to deadlines for external reporting.
• Collaborate with various departments to identify and resolve accounting or process issues.
• Assist with annual insurance renewals and coordination of related documentation.
• Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules as well as accurate records for assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and annual financial and management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Weekly and monthly reconciliation of fixed asset subledger to general ledger.
• Manage the fixed asset budget and ensure accountability throughout the fiscal year.
• Lead periodic fixed asset counts and communicate results to management.
• Provide fixed asset reports to regional and product line managers for review.
• Serve as subject matter expert for fixed asset software and processes.
• Provide guidance on inventory accounting and cost of goods sold (COGS) treatment
• Work closely with regional teams and insurance agents regarding asset additions and disposals.
• Prepare annual property tax renditions and maintain ASC 842 lease accounting.
• Manage assigned balance sheet general ledger accounts and prepare related lead sheets.
• Provide support for sales tax, balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliation processes.
• Perform additional accounting duties and special projects as assigned.
• Must have a degree in Accounting, Business Administration or any related field.
• 4 years of General Ledger experience plus extensive knowledge of accruals, fixed assets, deferrals and all other bookkeeping functions.
• Assist with internal control evaluations and implementation of process improvements.

Salary range: $75,000 - $85,000 DOE
