Overview
As a Senior Tax Accountant at Vinmar International, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations while optimizing the company's tax position. You will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing quarterly and annual income tax provision, tax account reconciliation, preparing & reviewing tax returns, conducting tax research, and assisting in providing strategic tax planning advice.
The ideal candidate must have excellent analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.
This role reports to the Tax Manager and will be in office 4 days per week.
Key Responsibilities- Tax Compliance: Prepare, review and file accurate and timely tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, VAT, and other applicable taxes.
- Tax Provision: Prepare quarterly and annual income tax provision, including deferred taxes, tax account reconciliation and related analysis.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct tax research, monitor changes in tax legislation, and provide insights and recommendations.
- Audit Support: Assist in preparing and supporting tax audits, respond to tax inquiries, and collaborate with auditors and tax authorities as needed.
- Tax Reporting: Prepare and analyze tax reports, schedules, and reconciliations for internal and external reporting.
- Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with internal controls related to tax processes and assist in implementing improvements.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline tax processes, enhance efficiency, and improve data accuracy.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and business units, to address tax-related matters and provide tax guidance.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate tax risks, including potential tax exposures and compliance issues.

Education:
Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards to ensure compliance and provide valuable insights to the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in tax provision, tax compliance, tax planning, or tax advisory roles, preferably in a multinational company or large public accounting firm.
- Working knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and tax accounting principles.
- Experience with Federal and state taxes (Direct and Indirect Taxes).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with tax software and ERP systems (SAP experience preferred).
- High level of integrity and ethical standards.
