Location: Houston, TX

Salary: $116,600-$150,600
Schedule: Hybrid schedule available of up to 2 days remote per week

Focus: The Cost, Planning and Analysis Manager serves as a key advisor to site directors, driving operational and financial performance through business insight, analytical expertise, and by acting as a vital link between organizational objectives and site operations. The ideal candidate brings a blend of site operations understanding and broad business expertise, enabling them to influence decisions, challenge assumptions, and supporting strategic objectives across the organization.
EssentialResponsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and report on production and fixed costs-including price, yield, volume, and overhead absorption-to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop, implement, and maintain cost control systems and reporting tools to enhance operational cost visibility and efficiency.
- Develop, implement, and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost efficiency and productivity, ensuring clear visibility into financial impacts of operational performance.
- Investigate root causes of cost variances and collaborate with site leadership to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance cost effectiveness, productivity, and business outcomes.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning processes, providing data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
- Drive cost optimization projects and conduct scenario analysis to support strategic objectives.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree
* in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline; CMA or CPA certifications preferred. - Minimum of 5 years' experience in cost control, financial planning and analysis, cost accounting, or plant controlling, ideally within chemicals or manufacturing industries.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and ERP system; SAP preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power
BI preferred. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred.
