Financial Risk Manager
A global financial services organisation is seeking vaardige Financial Risk professionalomy join its Group Risk function in Dublin. This is a high-impact role within the second line of defence, offering the opportunity to lead regulatory-driven risk initiatives and deliver sophisticated risk analytics across credit, market and liquidity risk.
This position is well suited to an analytical, solution Nevada focused individual with a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and a proven ability to translate complex requirements into practical, effective risk management solutions.
The Role
Reporting to a senior risk leader based internationally, the role will take ownership of the interpretation and implementation of regulatory risk management projects, with a strong focus on meeting regulatory deadlines and supporting regulated banking entities. Close collaboration with stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions will be central to success in this position.
The role combines project delivery, quantitative analysis and tool development, with a particular emphasis on'ihu financial risk modelling, ICAAP-related համ work and the enhancement of reporting and analytics capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and contribute to regulatory-driven risk management initiatives, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Interpret regulatory requirements and provide subject matter expertise on their practical application.
- Deliver risk analytics and reporting across the financial risk spectrum, including credit, liquidity and market risk.
- Design, build and enhance analytical tools and reporting solutions aligned with regulatory and business needs.
- Develop Excel- and Access-based solutions to meet evolving risk management requirements.
- Collaborate with technology, data and business intelligence teams to define data needs and improve end‑user tools.
- Perform business‑as‑usual and ad‑hoc risk analysis, introducing new methodologies where appropriate.
- Support the embedding of robust risk and control governance frameworks across the business.
- Contribute to knowledge‑sharing and continuous improvement within the risk function.
- A degree in a numerical or quantitative discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Approximately six or more years’ experience in financial risk management, ideally within a regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as Basel III and EU CRR.
- Proven ability to work independently, take ownership of deliverables and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent analytical skills with a logical, detail‑oriented approach.
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and Access, including VBA and SQL.
- A track record of developing effective end‑user computing tools for risk analytics and reporting.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, adaptable mindset and a collaborative approach to problem‑solving.
