Accounting Manager – PE Backed Construction
We are working with a rapidly growing, well‑capitalized construction company backed by private equity and are seeking an Accounting Manager to help scale our finance and accounting operations. This is a high‑impact role offering visibility to leadership, exposure to strategic initiatives, and the opportunity to help build best‑in‑class processes in a dynamic environment.
The ideal candidate is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, growth‑driven organization. This role will work closely with the Controller and leadership team to strengthen financial reporting, controls, and operational insight.

- Partner with the Controller to oversee core accounting functions, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Maintain accurate financial records while supporting timely and reliable internal and external reporting
- Review, process, and document cash disbursement activity in compliance with established company policies
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of internal controls related to accounting, cash management, and credit activity
- Assist in preparing financial statements, management reporting packages, forecasts, and lender‑required reporting
- Evaluate historical and current financial results to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for operational improvement
- Contribute to the annual budgeting process, ongoing budget tracking, and variance analysis
- Support year‑end audit activities and coordination with external stakeholders as needed
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at scaling systems, processes, and reporting capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred but not required)
- Experience in construction, project‑based, or PE‑backed environments a plus
- Public accounting, industry or mix
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices
- Ability to balance hands‑on execution with process improvement
