HKA's Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages practice has significantly expanded its expertise in Intellectual Property over the past few years. As our client base grows, we seek a Director to bring expert‑level consultation experience to maintain our high standards of service.

• Evaluate and quantify economic damages and remedies in patent, trademark, copyright infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets, and breach of contract litigations.
• Draft expert reports for testifying experts to review.
• Make strategic recommendations, identify issues, and communicate with the testifying expert on the direction of the case.
• Direct, review, and provide feedback on the work product and analyses of junior team members.
• Communicate and lead meetings with counsel, clients, or other experts.
• Prepare the testifying expert for deposition and trials.
• Deliver training and develop colleagues.

• Bachelor's or Master’s in quantitative subjects such as Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business/Management.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Economic Analysis Consulting.
• 3+ years’ experience determining Intellectual Property related damages and remedies (reasonable royalties, lost profits, unjust enrichment, business disruption, injunctive relief).
• 1+ year’s experience writing Expert Reports and offering Litigation Support to Expert Witnesses.
• One or more accounting or professional credentials: CPA, CFE, CFA, CLP.
• Experience managing and staffing a team.

• Standard patents and FRAND expertise.
• Experience in Financial Modeling.
• Expert Testimony Experience, preferably at state or federal level.

Annual salary ranging from $175,000 – $235,000 depending on evaluated skills, qualifications and overall fit. Full‑time employees are also eligible for full benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, a retirement plan with company match and more.
