Senior US Business Tax Manager – Cayman Islands
5 days ago – Be among the first 25 applicants.
* This role is based in the Cayman Islands.
Life in the Cayman Islands appeals to many U.S. tax professionals – a slower pace, swimming, scuba diving, 0% income tax and year‐round sunshine. It’s far removed from the intensity of city living in the U.S.
Our Big 4 client is looking for a Senior US Business Tax Manager (Financial Services) to join its Cayman‑based team, advising and delivering complex U.S. tax compliance and advisory work for global financial services clients – including hedge and private equity funds, insurers, and ILS entities.
The OpportunityYou’ll lead U.S. tax compliance and advisory engagements for hedge funds and private equity clients – from fund structuring and reporting through to partnership returns and investor allocations. You’ll oversee detailed securities analysis, review complex tax adjustments, and manage day‑to‑day delivery across multiple accounts.
The role also involves advising clients on domestic federal, international, and state tax matters, ensuring their structures align with both business and compliance objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead U.S. tax compliance and advisory work for hedge funds, private equity funds, and other investment vehicles
- Review partnership tax returns and Schedules K‑1 and K‑3, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Advise on fund structuring, cross‑border taxation, and efficient U.S. tax strategies
- 7+ years of U.S. tax experience, ideally in asset management or financial services
- U.S. CPA or Enrolled Agent
- Strong technical knowledge of partnership and fund taxation (including 1065/K‑1 reporting)
We specialise in helping U.S. tax professionals make the move abroad. From the first conversation through to you landing on the islands for your first day, we’ll guide you through the process.
