The Teller is responsible for contributing to the overall success of a Retail Banking Center(s) by committing to banker‑readiness, processing all transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining disciplined operational objectives, and providing the prescribed customer experience levels. The role may involve occasional evenings and Saturdays and may require temporary work at other assigned banking center locations based on staffing needs.
Position Responsibilities Customer ExperienceIntroduce and refer customers to the platform through routine interactions; provide remarkable customer service via all channels, resolve basic complaints, and maintain customer confidence and confidentiality. Complete Comerica’s Teller Training Program and adhere to company policies, procedures, regulations, and security protocols. Reconcile all transactions during and at the end of each shift using the provided electronic system.
Marketing ActivitiesComplete assigned daily planning activities; act as a digital ambassador to encourage customers to transition to digital solutions; engage customers by introducing Comerica’s products/services and digital offerings, address questions, and follow up in a timely manner.
Operational RiskEnsure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and Comerica’s policies and procedures. Complete necessary compliance training and adhere to Banking Center Risk Assessment and Compliance Standards to control and mitigate losses.
PartnershipConsistently impact efforts that improve Banking Center collaboration. Identify opportunities to add value to customers by introducing them to partners.
Position Qualifications- 6 months of retail or financial sales experience OR 2 years of U.S. Military service OR 1 year of college education
- 1 year of customer‑service experience
- 1 year of personal‑computer, systems data‑entry, or internet‑search experience
Cash‑handling experience in a retail or financial services environment; proficiency with utilizing and navigating a computer system.
Work Best CategoryCategory A – 100% in the office.
Hours8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Monday – Friday; 8:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. every other Saturday.
SalaryTo be determined based on individual experience.
