Base Pay Range$60,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Operations Coordinator to join our clients' team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who have a strong interest in finance and customer service and are eager to develop their skills. The successful candidate will have excellent mathematical abilities and a passion for clear communication with clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support to clients managing SBA GICs, SBA COOFs, and USDA guaranteed loans, ensuring accuracy and timely communication.
- Help maintain the safekeeping receipt registry, utilizing basic mathematical skills to keep records organized.
- Prepare and deliver Debit/Credit Advices to clients before payments for principal and interest (P&I), payoffs, and redemptions, clearly communicating necessary details.
- Participate in the collection and disbursement of principal and interest payments as outlined in the terms and conditions, ensuring payments are processed correctly and accurately.
- Assist in reconciling payment discrepancies with lenders to ensure accurate financial records and payment statuses.
- Contribute to generating monthly reports and statements for clients that reflect all payment activity and asset holdings, developing skills in data organization.
- Support servicing for products like USDA Loans, SBA Loans, and COOFs, maintaining a client-focused attitude.
- Help address borrower payment delinquencies by gathering information and documenting findings in the internal platform, enhancing problem-solving skills.
- Collaborate with the SBA's Fiscal and Transfer Agent and individual lenders to monitor loan statuses and assist in maintaining compliance.
- Assist with various projects and assignments as assigned by team leaders, aiding the overall efficiency of the operations team.
- Learn to address issues related to borrower deferments, modifications, defaults, and prepayments, supporting documentation procedures where necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Interest in banking, finance, or the securities industry, with a willingness to learn.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling financial records.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly.
- Strong customer service orientation, with an eagerness to assist clients and resolve issues.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Some exposure to financial products, such as SBA Loans, USDA Loans, or related areas through coursework or internships.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in tasks.
