Event Manager / Planner, Customer Service Rep
Summary
Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent opportunity for a Part‑Time Parking Lead at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. The role is responsible for parking during all events and assigned parking lots within the NRG Park property, requiring frequent lifting and physical exertion.
Responsibilities- Customer friendly, self‑motivated, and enjoy working in a fast‑paced environment.
- Effectively communicate with guests, clients, vendors, and other personnel.
- Assist with training/coaching employees on their duties and ensuring service levels are met.
- Work with the Parking Supervisor to obtain, discuss, and implement the daily parking plan.
- Coordinate the daily parking schedules and transport staff to key areas.
- Oversee parking staff to ensure job conformity.
- Monitor staff levels and locations throughout the workday to maintain effective workflow of all parking lots.
- Coordinate with parking supervisors and parking management to ensure a steady flow of traffic.
- Have reliable transportation and communication.
- Comply with all Legends Global policies and procedures including the Business Conduct Policy and Code of Ethics.
- Dress in department specified uniform according to the Legends Global Parking Policy.
- Attend all meetings and training as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the following skills, knowledge, and experience.
- Understanding of operational procedures, facility capabilities, industry terminology, event‑related services, and technical requirements for events at NRG Park.
- Ability to follow general instructions, specifications, blueprints, sketches, and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Follow all policies, procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules, regulations, and emergency procedures established at the facility.
- Demonstrate ability to carry out tasks reliably, productively, and expediently and meet strict deadlines.
- Maintain effective working relationships with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others.
- Organize and prioritize work from event overviews and task lists to meet deadlines.
- Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedules and produce accurate results.
- Maintain a client service‑oriented attitude.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions and meet irregular work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Technical school certificate or degree is a plus.
- Candidates with traffic control or parking experience will be considered.
- Work independently, exercise judgment and initiative.
- Work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
- Be licensed to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.
- Must perform strenuous physical duties, including lifting, carrying, moving, and climbing.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and work on feet for 8‑10 hours a day.
- Must be able to stretch and reach.
