This is a permanent leadership opportunity for a Texas PE who thrives in project oversight, team mentorship, and client engagement within site development.

The Land Development Civil Engineer Team Lead will oversee multiple site development projects while managing and mentoring a team of engineers and designers. This position blends technical expertise, project management, quality control, and client relationship management.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in grading, drainage, stormwater management, permitting, and municipal coordination, along with the ability to lead projects from concept through construction.

• Lead and manage Land Development projects from due diligence through construction
• Oversee preparation of site layout, grading, drainage, and utility design plans
• Direct stormwater management design including detention, water quality, and H&H analysis
• Manage permitting coordination with local and regional agencies
• Provide technical oversight and quality control review of engineering deliverables
• Mentor and supervise engineers and design staff
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
• Interface directly with clients, developers, municipalities, and regulatory agencies
• Support proposal preparation and business development efforts
• Contribute to strategic growth of the Houston Land Development team

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas
• 7+ years of Land Development engineering experience
• Strong background in site grading, drainage, and stormwater management
• Experience managing projects and leading engineering teams
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Strong knowledge of Houston area permitting and regulatory processes
• Excellent communication and client facing skills

Preferred

• Experience in commercial, residential, and mixed use developments
• Demonstrated success in business development or client relationship growth
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment
