About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to support and grow our industrial water treatment programs within the Galveston Bay region
, including a major refinery in Texas City. This role is responsible for overseeing treatment performance, managing daytoday technical service, and driving commercial growth through consultative selling and strong customer partnerships.
You will serve as the primary technical advisor and relationship owner for your assigned accounts, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost effective water treatment operations across cooling, boiler, and wastewater systems.
Responsibilities Technical Program Management* Conduct routine monitoring, testing, and optimization of cooling water, boiler water, and wastewater treatment systems
* Troubleshoot feed equipment, pumps, controllers, sensors, and monitoring devices
* Perform audits, system surveys, corrosion monitoring, deposit analysis, and performance diagnostics
* Ensure treatment programs meet safety, environmental, and operational compliance standards
* Recommend system improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency, and asset protection
* Serve as the onsite technical partner and trusted advisor for refinery and industrial site personnel
* Build and maintain strong relationships with operations, reliability, maintenance, engineering, and procurement teams
* Develop and present technical reports, KPIs, and business reviews
* Support issue resolution through root cause analysis and corrective action recommendations
* Maintain open communication with customers to reinforce program value
* Manage revenue, pricing execution, and contract performance for assigned accounts
* Identify and capture new business opportunities and program expansion initiatives
* Support chemical ordering, inventory management, and onsite logistics coordination
* Work closely with internal Solenis teams to ensure high quality service delivery and timely product support
* Model and promote Solenis' safety culture at all customer sites
* Follow refinery and chemical plant safety requirements including LOTO, confined space, contractor safety programs, and site specific protocols
* Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, audits, and compliance procedures
* Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (equivalent experience considered)
* Minimum of 3 years of handson industrial water treatment experience, ideally within refineries, chemical plants, or Gulf Coast industrial sites
* Strong mechanical aptitude with proven ability to troubleshoot chemical feed systems and monitoring equipment
* Demonstrated success managing industrial customer relationships
* Excellent communication, technical writing, and organizational skills
* Valid driver's license and clean driving record
* Experience supporting refineries in Texas City, Baytown, Houston, Beaumont, or the greater Gulf Coast corridor
* Knowledge of refinery safety programs and operational protocols
* Prior experience managing multimillion dollar accounts or multisite portfolios
