CAD Designer

Talascend is currently seeking a CAD Designer for a contract opportunity with our client in Houston, Texas.

Overview

Performs tasks in the operation and application of Computer Aided Design (CAD) equipment, creating and modifying detailed drawings from sketches, layouts, or notes provided by engineering.

Responsibilities

• Creates and modifies detailed drawings using CAD hardware and software.
• Contributes design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of product.
• Checks drawing plots versus the project input for correctness and conformance to standards.
• Works with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and ECN/ECR documentation.
• May work with system management including file maintenance, backup and storage.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent and 2+ years of technical training, plus 4+ years of experience in CAD and associated equipment.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of current software applications related to CAD operations.
• Ability to handle usual occurring job events with some knowledge and experience.
• Ability to design complex drawings and perform mathematical calculations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the technical field and ability to complete complex assignments.
