We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer Assistant to support our Out of Box Audit (OBA) and manufacturing quality activities.
In this role, you will actively contribute to failure analysis, corrective action implementation, inspector certification, and cross-functional quality improvement initiatives within a high-volume production environment.
This position is ideal for a technically skilled professional with strong analytical capabilities and hands-on experience in testing systems and quality processes.
Key Responsibilities OBA & Inspection SupportSupport and oversee daily activities of the OBA (Out of Box Audit) team
Supervise onboarding and certification of OBA inspectors
Regularly evaluate inspector competency levels and deliver training on new processes
Provide direct technical guidance to the OBA team when required
Initiate and lead immediate root cause analysis of OBA and test-related defects
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Test Engineering, and Quality teams
Define the scope of potentially affected products
Propose corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurrence
Verify effectiveness and ensure no unintended product impact
Maintain and review OBA defect database accuracy
Prepare and update analysis reports, especially in case of line-stopping issues
Monitor key performance indicators, including:
OBA-related defect ratio
Recurrence rate of defects
Inspector certification status
Support MRB (Material Review Board) technicians in analyzing production fallout
Ensure appropriate test methods are applied
Align testing methodologies with Test Engineering
Maintain continuous communication with Quality and Test Engineering
Provide clear updates on analysis results and improvement actions
Escalate issues to the Quality Manager when required
Technical (Technician-level) qualification
Several years of experience with production test systems (e.g., IBM, Lenovo environments preferred)
Strong hands-on knowledge of manufacturing testing processes
Solid understanding of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001)
Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001) is an advantage
Basic English language skills
Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
Ability to conduct thorough and consistent root cause investigations
Proactive and improvement-driven mindset
High stress tolerance and adaptability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and document control systems
