The Flow Assurance Lead Engineer is responsible for the design of oil and gas production systems and assessment of their operability, including wells, flowlines and risers, production and injection facilities, and pipelines. The Lead Flow Assurance Engineer uses analytical and computational tools to predict the transient multiphase flow and thermal behavior of the production system and develops and documents functional requirements and operational strategies to prevent, mitigate, and remediate vulnerabilities associated with gas hydrate formation, wax deposition, and other solids.
Whatyou will do
- Develop and apply Flow Assurance design and operating strategies across deepwater projects, unconventional developments, midstream/downstream pipelines, R&D initiatives, and low‑carbon solutions.
- Provide full life‑cycle Flow Assurance support from concept evaluation through detailed engineering, commissioning/startup, and steady‑state operations.
- Assess and recommend design and operating philosophies, clearly articulating strengths, limitations, and strategic implications for management decision‑making.
- Collaborate across disciplines (Marine, Risers, Pipelines, Subsea, Facilities, Reservoir) and interface with suppliers and contractors to align scopes, deliverables, and technical expectations.
- Perform fluid characterization using thermodynamic simulation to model PVT behavior of produced fluids.
