The Human Exploration and Spaceflight (HESF)
Sub-Division,within the NASA Programs Division (NPD) ofCSG,maintains the company subject matter expertisefor human spaceflight. HESF supports NASA and its bold human exploration missionsfrom the NASA Headquarters Mission Directorates ,to the Moon to Mars Office,down to every Artemis Program in operation. We also support the International Space Station (ISS), Commercial LEO Development Program, Commercial Crew Program, Human Health&Performance. And the Gateway Program. HESF support spans from architecture and mission design,to technology development, requirements and design reviews, and finally to verification, safety, and on orbit operational reviews and concurrences.

EVA Integrator (Senior Project Engineer - Technical Project Management) willsupportthe
Gateway
Program Officebydefining,flowing down, and integrating EVA(space walking) requirementsrelatedtodesign, development,and testing ofprogram hardware/software/systems.
Thisrole willcoordinateall such requirements with the EVAand Human Surface Mobility program (EHP) on behalf of Gateway.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX.
What You'll Be Doing- Performing Gateway(GW)
System Management tasks in the vehicle's life cycle related to EVA. These tasks include, but are not limited to:- Participating in requirements development and flow down
- Performing design reviews and verification activities
- Participating in safety review panels
- Troubleshooting and performing sustaining engineering of the EVA related components that are part of the Gateway vehicle system
- Coordinating with:
EVA and Human Surface Mobility Program (EHP) general team members, EHP GW Integrated Product Team (IPT) chair, and EHP Projects, particularly the Gateway spacesuit (once awarded) - Representing
GWpositions in EHP forums and boards - Providing
EVA expertise and advocatingfor EVA system needs in all applicable GWforums - Leadingreview of EVA related waivers and deviations from GWmodules/projects according to jointly agreed upon EHP-GW processes
- Performingactions or trade studies as assigned to provide recommendations to the GW Program for problem resolution. Examples of which include, but are not limited to:
- Scope of GW funded EVA tools
- Alternate interfaces needed between suit and airlock systems
- Acceptable levels of lighting to support EVA activities
- Integrated operations with a robotic arm
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, mathematics, or another related STEM discipline
- At least 10 years of direct EVA Operations experience, including procedures development, mission integration, and mission execution
- Arecordof increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience, including experience in a systems engineering and/or program management environment with NASA Programs, preferably Human Space Flight
- Superior analytical, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to effectively utilize oral and written communication to express concepts and recommendations to personnel at all technical and managerial levels
- Proven expertise and ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary setting, manage multiple concurrent tasks, and provide direction on competing priorities
- Proven ability to make timely, informed decisions and resolve conflicts in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent teaming and leadership skills with an ability to multi-task across various issues/disciplines simultaneously
- Excellent presentation and communications skills, including development of and briefing of decision packages and complex information in a succinct and polished manner.
- Willing to travel occasionally to work location or customer site/domestically/internationally
