Job Title:

Field Service Engineer

Job Description

Join our team as a Field Service Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex machinery. You will have the opportunity to work with advanced technology and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service to our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret detailed schematics and engineering drawings of electrical devices and systems.
  • Conduct electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic design, including peripheral device and machine PLC programming.
  • Coordinate machine debugging, power-up, and validation processes with build and electrical teams.
  • Travel to install sites for installation and runoffs with customers.
  • Support technical writers in developing catalogs and manuals.
  • Interact effectively with company personnel, customers, and vendors.
  • Generate bills of materials from specifications and drawings.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop solutions for customers.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for existing machinery in the field.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in field service, Allen-Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • HMI programming experience, particularly in FTView.
  • Electrical schematic drafting using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Strong understanding of electrical design concepts, components, circuits, and power distribution.
  • Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA-79, and UL-508 standards.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with relevant technologies.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET) is preferred.
  • Experience in the packaging or food & beverage industry is advantageous.
Work Environment

This role requires traveling up to 100% of the time, primarily within the U.S. and occasionally to Canada. The majority of trips last between 5-10 days, with some extending up to 3 weeks. All travel expenses are covered, including car rentals, flights, and per diem for meals. A company credit card is provided for travel arrangements, and mileage reimbursement is available for personal vehicle use.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $36.00/hr.
