Someone in this role would typically have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and ten (10) years of experience. This position can be hired at any level in our professional career framework, depending on business need at the time of hire.
** International travel may be required. Straight time overtime, 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off), and/or 1 day of telework per week may be available**
Duties And ResponsibilitiesSome of your major responsibilities will include:
- Serve as a Senior Systems Engineer for the Pressurized Lunar Rover, acting as the technical lead for requirements and MBSE activities across the SE team.
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior and mid-level systems engineers, ensuring consistent application of systems engineering best practices.
- Provide technical leadership for requirements development, allocation, flow-down, and traceability across Pressurized Lunar Rover systems and subsystems.
- Develop, review, and maintain system and subsystem specifications, including Interface Requirements Documents (IRDs) and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
- Own and manage requirements baselines using requirements management tools such as Jama and DOORS Next Generation (DNG).
- Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods to support architecture definition, functional decomposition, interface definition, and requirements traceability.
- Ensure requirements are clear, verifiable, and testable, and aligned with project architecture and mission objectives.
- Provide technical leadership for the development and review of verification plans, verification matrices, and verification reports.
- Coordinate with integration, discipline, and test engineers to resolve requirements issues and close verification gaps.
- Support major lifecycle reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.) from a requirements, MBSE, and verification perspective.
