Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer plays a key role in driving efficiency, quality, and productivity across manufacturing operations. This individual will design, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing methods, equipment, and systems supporting electrical and metal fabrication processes. Working cross-functionally with production, engineering, quality, supply chain, and procurement teams, the Manufacturing Engineer ensures manufacturability, scalability, and operational excellence while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

This role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on problem-solving skills, and the ability to optimize manufacturing systems in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop manufacturing processes for electrical and metal fabrication equipment to ensure efficient production flow and adherence to quality standards
• Evaluate and select machinery, tools, and equipment; optimize performance and minimize downtime
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
• Identify process enhancements, reduce waste, and improve productivity and quality
• Develop and maintain work instructions, procedures, and manufacturing documentation
• Partner with engineering teams during New Product Introduction (NPI) to ensure manufacturability and scalability (DFMA focus)
• Collaborate with quality teams to develop control plans, inspection methods, and testing protocols
• Investigate and resolve manufacturing-related quality issues; implement corrective and preventive actions
• Provide hands-on technical support to production teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Conduct cost analysis and drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality and safety compliance
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a strong culture of safety
• Support cross-functional alignment across production, engineering, supply chain, and procurement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
• 3–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience, ideally within metal fabrication, electro-mechanical, or electronic assembly environments
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, electrical systems, and fabrication techniques
• Experience supporting production associates with hands-on process improvements
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
• Familiarity with quality tools such as process control and FMEA
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across all organizational levels
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of safety regulations within a manufacturing setting
• Adaptability within a high-growth, rapidly evolving operation
