Description

Functional Area

s of Responsibility
  • Develop, update, and maintain project schedules. On small projects, support project management staff with updating and maintaining project schedules
  • Support weekly schedule update meetings with project team
  • Support project team in issuing schedules, progress and commodity curves, basis of schedule, and histograms
  • Perform resource loading and levelling
  • Coordinate with the project team and/or subcontractors
  • Perform schedule and progress analysis and make recommendations to the project team
  • Assess the impact of changes and deviations to the project schedule
  • Assist in developing “what if” exercises and mitigation strategies
  • Review the workhour forecast developed by the project team
Specific Duties and Responsibilities Scheduling - General
  • Prepare schedules in support of project pursuits
  • Support project teams in the following:
  • Develop the baseline construction schedule outlining the sequence of work to be performed
  • Ensure that the schedule is updated periodically, based on change orders, field performance, availability of construction materials, and similar factors that can impact the final completion date
  • Submit schedule updates to customer as required by the contract documents
  • Ensure Weekly Progress, Manpower, and Commodity Curves are developed, updated, and issued
  • Issue Weekly Schedule Analysis Report
  • Create detailed “Look Ahead” schedules and weekly updates as required
Relationships

Ability to interface with the Austin project team to gather information in the development and weekly updates of the project schedule

Effective working relationships with customer, subcontractors, and suppliers

Technical

Education
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred

Experience
Minimum of three years of field experience preferred
Read and interpret owner’s drawings and specifications to ensure accurate project schedule development
Detailed working knowledge of Primavera Scheduling Software
