Powering Solutions with Technical ExpertiseAre you a problem-solver with a passion for Caterpillar equipment? As a Engine Technical Communicator at Mustang Cat, you ll provide expert technical support, troubleshoot complex issues, and enhance the skills of dealer technicians within our Power Systems Division.

- Assist service teams across locations in diagnosing and resolving complex equipment issues
- Provide expert guidance to Mustang Power Systems shop & field service teams (Large Bore 290, Marine, EPG, Tomball, Waller)
- Collaborate with Caterpillar engineers via DSN to resolve critical issues
- Conduct applied failure analysis and manage technical service requests
- Work with district CAT Representatives to resolve warranty concerns
- Develop cost-effective solutions for equipment performance issues
- Mentor dealer technicians to enhance technical proficiency
- Assist sales & parts teams with technical product knowledge
- Work closely with Caterpillar to improve equipment performance and service processes
- Degree in Diesel Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong hands-on experience with Caterpillar engines & power systems
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in internal combustion engines (spark vs. compression ignition)
- Ability to read schematics, engineering drawings & machining specs
- Proficiency in precision measuring tools & dyno testing procedures
- Familiarity with CAT diagnostic & service systems
- Excellent communication & problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented & adaptable in high-pressure situations
- Team player with a passion for continuous learning
