Prepare design/build, engineer, procure, construction management, guaranteed maximum price, and hard-bid estimates/proposals. Analyze quotations before and on bid day. Evaluate bids of subcontractors and suppliers for completeness of scope, delivery time, and compliance with specifications and other requirements. Enter quantity take-offs and material unit pricing as applicable to the project. Recognize and apply appropriate work breakdown structure (WBS). Process and identify complete scope with limited design definition.

Lead teams of Co‑ops, Construction Specialists, and Estimators in estimating procedures and software use. Review and close out estimates prepared by Estimators. Transmit and communicate final estimate and basis to internal/external client. Prepare opinions of probable construction costs and design/build estimates, and close out proposals or bids for at‑risk work. Contact subcontractors and suppliers for outsourced pricing. Assist the Chief Estimator in coordinating overall corporate estimating functions.

Perform additional duties as required.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 9 years of related experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead capacity.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required, frequency contingent on duties and project demands.
• Equivalent directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Advanced knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing.
• Ability to read and comprehend drawings and specifications; identify missing elements during design development.
• Perform conceptual estimates in multiple trades and review estimates across many trades.
• Strong multi‑tasking skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Proficient with estimating and on‑screen digitizing software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
