As a Commissioning Agent in our Houston office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

Responsibilities

Why We Need You – In this role, you will be responsible for resolving commissioning challenges and completing tasks assigned, including developing and implementing commissioning process delivery plans from information set forth in Owner s Project Requirements (OPR), Basis of Design (BOD), plans and specification construction documents, as well as information gathered from users, project partners, field surveys, and code research.

Qualifications
  • Technical or Associate Degree in HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, or architectural design; or construction engineering from an accredited technical institution or college; or commensurate design or construction experience.
  • General understanding of building systems across disciplines including fire protection, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing/piping.
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret codes, guidelines and standards related to commissioning, design and construction.
  • Experience in computer operation and ability to learn Cx Alloy, Excel, and Bluebeam for the purpose accessing and interpreting design requirements.
  • Valid driver s license and state required vehicle insurance.
Effective skills / Certifications
  • Commissioning certification with a nationally recognized professional body.
  • Ability to combine personal judgment with a wide variety of data and information to implement commissioning criteria.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, including carrying out appropriate follow-through with others, giving and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Communicates well with clients, project partners and with individuals at all levels in the organization.
  • Ability to apply safety training to specific construction situations and avoid unsafe work environments.
  • Ability to understand and safely use test and measurement equipment and common tools.
  • Experience in diagnosing and solving construction and operational problems.
  • Strong spoken and written communications skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client outcomes.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Effective working individually and within team environments.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% – Travel may include multi-week field assignments and periodic long-term assignments may be required.
