The SCADA Developer provides technical support for the Pipeline SCADA and Operations Reporting Analytics systems. Responsible for maintaining Schneider Electric Geo SCADA HMI, Auto Sol Communication Manager (ACM) and Power BI. The role supports troubleshooting and enhancement requests through SCADA and reporting systems from Operations and Controllers.
Job Responsibilities- Assists with configuration, programming, and maintenance of Schneider Electric Geo SCADA and Auto Sol (ACM) software including SCADA system databases, alarming and control strategies.
- Builds and supports SCADA HMI screens according to Control Room Management guidelines and HMI Style Guide under the guidance of the Senior SCADA Developer.
- Configures and supports ACM CFX publishing to Flow Cal.
- Supports a range of communications protocols including Modbus, DNP3, OPC, and device‑specific drivers.
- Troubleshoots any data or communication network issues including cellular, satellite, and radio.
- Provides phone, email, and/or face‑to‑face end user support for SCADA application systems – end users include Commercial Operations, Control Room Operations, and field I&E/Operations, and corporate end users.
- Maintains controls documentation such as controls narratives, HMI, and alarm management philosophy.
- Assists with technical responsibilities under Management of Change and Control Room Management.
- Build and support routine and ad hoc reporting and analysis utilizing Crystal Reports.
- Willing to take after‑hour calls to support 24/7 operation, including on‑call rotation covering nights, weekends and holidays.
- Minimum of Associates or higher degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation, Process Automation, Computer Science, or similar technical concentration from an accredited educational institution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering is preferred.
- 1‑3 years industry experience in Process Automation and Control, SCADA, I&E or similar role.
- Geo SCADA programming and support including proficiency in template creation and troubleshooting preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 10% (Must hold a valid Driver’s License).
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a full‑time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Programming languages – Function Block, Ladder Logic, Structured Text, ROC FST.
- HMI Design and Development.
- SQL tools and relational databases.
- Ability to interpret engineering documentation including schematics, process and instrumentation, and process flow diagrams.
- Cell modem setup, troubleshooting and maintenance and TCP/IP communication and networking.
- Programming field PLC and RTU equipment including Emerson FB107 and ROC
800 series, Total Flow, SCADAPack, AB Control Logix and Red Lion. - Operations Technology (OT, ICS) network operation and setup.
- Understanding of Industry Specific Standards such as DOT, API, and ISA.
