Energy Link, a Quanta company, is seeking a Purchasing Manager with proven, hands‑on experience leading and developing procurement teams.

This is a true people leadership role — prior direct management of buyers is required. You will be responsible for setting expectations, driving accountability, coaching performance, and building a high‑performing team while overseeing purchasing execution from planning through delivery. Success in this role requires a leader who can develop talent, make sound sourcing decisions, and ensure alignment with project timelines, cost objectives, and long‑term supplier partnerships.

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Buyers to achieve performance, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Develop and execute purchasing plans aligned with project schedules, budgets, and engineering specifications.
• Drive strategic sourcing initiatives to reduce cost, improve reliability, and minimize supply risk.
• Oversee supplier selection and contract administration with a focus on quality, pricing, and on‑time delivery.
• Partner with logistics, inventory, and project teams to support just‑in‑time delivery and efficient inventory turnover.
• Proactively resolve supplier performance issues and implement corrective actions to avoid project disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, contractual requirements, and industry safety standards.
• Track and report procurement KPIs; identify continuous improvement and cost‑saving opportunities.

Experience

• 5+ years of progressive experience in purchasing or procurement.
• Demonstrated people leadership experience; leading buyer teams and building strong supplier partnerships.
• Experience supporting energy, utility, high‑voltage, or EPC projects strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (JDE or similar) and procurement platforms.
• Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, project management, and field operations.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
