About the Role:
The Junior RTLS Engineer will be responsible for providing engineering support in the implementation, and optimization of RTLS systems as defined in the RTLS design. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of RTLS technology, industry standards, and best practices. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment of RTLS solutions that meet business needs and objectives.
WhatYou’ll Be Responsible For:
- Support the implementation and optimization of RTLS technology.
- Support the development and maintenance of RTLS standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Support RTLS device installation, configuration, and support RTLS device integration into Shipcom software solutions.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective RTLS solutions.
- Support feasibility studies, site surveys, and system assessments to determine optimal RTLS configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve RTLS-related issues and provide technical support as needed.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to RTLS.
- Support the preparation of reports, documentation, and technical specifications as requested.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in RTLS technology and system implementation.
- In-depth knowledge of RTLS protocols and technologies (e.g., Passive, Active (BLE), NFC).
- Experience w/ Sens Thys, Zebra, RFC, and Quuppa and blending multiple technologies.
- Proven experience with RTLS hardware and software, including readers, tags, antennas, and middleware.
- Understand networking RF Equipment.
- Experience supporting Department of Defense contracts.
- Experience in Department of Defense maintenance facilities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA RTLS+, GS1 Standards) are a plus.
Skills:
- Familiarity with IoT and related technologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages and software development for RTLS applications.
- Experience with RTLS security and data privacy considerations.
