Job Description:Qualified candidates will support the software development on the Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV). Lunar Terrain Vehicle Services (LTVS) provides a human-class rover that will extend the exploration range of Artemis crew members on the surface of the Moon. Mobility will enable the humans to traverse greater distances to better explore the Lunar Surface and make scientific discoveries and build the future of lunar development.
LTVS will also provide for uncrewed autonomous exploration. Odyssey Space Research provides key support in the development, training, and operation of the LTVS system.
Candidates will be innovative, analytical, and excited to further space exploration through their work on practical and impactful projects. Candidates are expected to be proficient with:
- C/C++, Simulation Development including thermal, power, navigation, and surface dynamics.
- Linux development environments
- Software development life cycles and software development tools (Docker, Jenkins, Git, Gitlab)
We are seeking exceptional individuals of all skill levels with a strong desire to further space exploration, regardless of background.
Required:- U.S. Citizen (or Permanent Resident) is required due to the nature of the work
- BS/MS/PhD in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar STEM degrees from accredited universities
- Manned Spaceflight Experience
- Software and Hardware integration
- Model development and validation
- NASA HLA standard
- Experience with Unreal Engine
- Automotive Vehicle Modeling Software.
- Python
- Experience developing code on various platforms (ARM, x86, Power
PC, SPARC, 8051, etc.) - Experience with hardware interfaces (PCI, 1553, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS-422/232, etc.)
- Experience with various networking standards (including, but not limited to TCP, UDP, IP)
- Familiar with various computer virtualization technologies
- Matlab/Simulink
- Experience in supporting NASA and other government sector contracts
Positions are available in the Houston, TX and Boulder CO areas
Salary Range:$70k – $150k
