Job SummaryWe are looking for a Caster Controls Engineer to join our growing team onsite in Corpus Christi, TX. This is a unique opportunity to provide critical technical leadership for our continuous casting operation while directly mentoring and developing the next generation of industrial electricians. Duties- Own the automation and controls backbone of our continuous caster, driving reliability and performance to help us meet our production goals.
- Mentor and develop a talented team of 8 electricians, elevating their troubleshooting skills and building a world‑class technical crew.
- Provide hands‑on troubleshooting and optimization for our Siemens PLC‑based systems, diving deep into control logic to solve mission‑critical challenges.
- Serve as the technical authority for caster automation, from oscillator controls to process improvements, ensuring our operations run at peak efficiency.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of automation and controls experience in a heavy industrial environment like steel, paper, or metals.
- Proven expertise in troubleshooting PLC‑controlled systems (Siemens experience is a strong plus).
