Geotechnical Engineer; Civil Eng. Degree

Overview

Tolunay-Wong Engineers is seeking a full time Geotechnical Engineer to join our Mega projects group in either the Houston or Beaumont offices. The successful candidate will be trained in the execution of geotechnical projects, primarily serving clients in the industrial and mega projects market. The Staff Geotechnical Engineer will be involved in various aspects of geotechnical engineering, including fieldwork, laboratory assignments, and engineering analyses.

Clients include Space

X, Army Corps of Engineers, Samsung, Cheniere, and Exxon Mobil (among others).

• Prepare technical proposals
• Execute geotechnical engineering project assignments
• Work with and provide mentorship of engineering support staff
• Manage and coordinate geotechnical field and laboratory assignments
• Perform engineering analyses and report preparation
• Maintain client expectations for project quality and schedule

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering required
• 1+ years of relevant full-time geotechnical experience preferred
• PE License or Active EIT Certification
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
