Job Description

An O&G Service company is looking for a Polymer Scientist to join their Chemical Technology team. This role is a full-time direct hire position and is fully onsite in their Houston office. The Polymer Scientist is responsible for conducting lab-scale formulation/reaction, managing new product development, and assisting other scientists in polymer design/synthesis. The role involves leading R&D projects for new product conceptualization and development, performing lab and pilot scale trials to support commercialization, and collaborating with other R&D team members on new product development and idea exchange.

• MS/PhD degree in Polymer Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or related disciplines, with relevant oil and gas industry experience.
• Experienced specifically in chemical synthesis.
• 3+ years of experience in Emulsion Polymerization, Water soluble polymer, Formulation development (withinin the oilfield area is highly perferred)
• Strong problem-solving and solution-driven skills, with a proactive attitude for addressing technical challenges.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative and teamwork mindset.
