Caturus, LLC, an integrated natural gas and LNG company focused on responsible sourcing of low-emission fuel to domestic and international markets. We are seeking a Director, Compliance to join our team that will be responsible for the development, implementation, and management of the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Facilities Regulatory Compliance Operations assurance program to address compliance activities for Federal, State, and Local regulatory requirements.
The position will report to our VP, Permitting & Compliance and will be located on-site in greater Houston.
- Serve as the subject matter expert in Regulatory areas concerning LNG Operations;
Specifically, for PHMSA, FERC, and USCG requirements. - Leads the regulatory compliance assurance program necessary for Federal, State, and Local audits and inspections.
- Performs internal compliance assurance activities in coordination with applicable stakeholders in preparation of routine Federal, State, and Local audits or inspections.
- Reviews external state and federal agency audit findings and provides recommendations to internal procedures and/or compliance manuals.
- Accountable for actioning compliance vulnerabilities to resolution with appropriate stakeholders.
- Responsible for establishing the internal yearly asset compliance assurance and audit program schedule for LNG Facilities Regulatory Compliance Managers and coordination thereof.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, Natural Resources, Law, Regulatory Affairs, or a related discipline required. Advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in regulatory compliance within the energy, LNG, oil & gas, or industrial project sectors. LNG experience strongly preferred.
- Extensive experience working closely with US regulatory agencies, especially FERC and PHMSA.
- Proven ability to navigate compliance requirements across project development, engineering, EPC execution, commissioning, and operations phases.
- Strong background in compliance governance.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate across Development, Engineering, EPC, Legal, Environmental, HSE, Operations, and Commercial functions.
- High degree of integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive regulatory and compliance matters.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage constructively with regulatory agencies, external stakeholders, and internal leadership.
