Kiewit Energy was established to better serve the diverse and expanding energy market. Kiewit Energy provides cohesive engineering, procurement and construction services to the oil, gas, refining, chemicals, petrochemicals, biofuels, and other process industries. Location

This position will be based out of our office in the Energy Corridor in the greater Houston area, with extensive project travel. Responsibilities

* Develop and execute best in class EPC execution strategy and schedule aligned with best practices and industry knowledge.

* Work alongside Engineering and Procurement counterparts to ensure timely inputs are received and project goals are achieved.

* Lead coordination with all other disciplines to ensure safe and efficient execution.

* Understand and implement standard budgeting, forecasting and process practices through technology.

* Establish project procedures consistent with contractual documents and quality plans for all engineered work; determine and oversee all project controls, schedules, and budgets.

* Serve as project representative with client, constructor, subcontractors, and vendors at kick-off meetings, job walks, project review, and other meetings and correspondence.

* Ensure all work products are consistent with industry standards and in accordance with good engineering practice and applicable codes, and in compliance with all pertinent legal codes and requirements.

* Provide ongoing training and mentoring to superintendents and lead field engineers to promote employee development.

Qualifications

* Direct project oversight on EPC related projects where the work was self-performed craft supervision.

* Advanced knowledge of meanings and methods of a given scope of work to develop a single or multiple discipline plan.

* Advanced knowledge of safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings and other documents.

* Competent in the use of computer software applications used for project control and administration, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.

* 15+ years' experience in the Oil, Gas, & Chemical construction industry, with at least 10+ years in a supervisory role.

* Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or similar discipline from a four-year college or university or comparable craft supervision experience.
