An established building enclosure consultancy in Houston is seeking a senior level professional to play a key role within its growing practice. This position is suited to an experienced consultant with deep technical expertise across façade, roofing, waterproofing and full building envelope systems, covering both new construction and existing building investigations.
The successful individual will take ownership of complex assignments, guide clients strategically, and contribute to the long term development of the Houston office.
You will advise on enclosure performance from early design through construction, as well as assess and remediate issues in existing buildings. The role combines technical authority, client leadership and commercial responsibility.
Responsibilities- Lead complex enclosure consulting projects across new construction and existing assets
- Act as senior technical authority for façade, roofing and waterproofing systems
- Oversee condition assessments, forensic investigations and performance evaluations
- Review design documentation and provide peer review input
- Develop repair strategies and technical specifications for remedial work
- Attend design, preconstruction and construction meetings as a senior advisor
- Mentor junior consultants and review their technical output
- Manage project budgets, schedules and client relationships
- Support business development efforts and contribute to sustained revenue growth
- Degree in engineering, architecture, building science or related discipline
- 8 to 15 years of experience in building enclosure consulting, design or investigation
- Demonstrated experience across both new construction and existing building work
- Strong technical writing skills and confidence presenting to clients
- Proven ability to lead projects independently and manage client expectations
- Experience contributing to proposals and cultivating repeat work
This role suits a senior consultant who wants flexibility within an established Houston platform, while maintaining meaningful technical influence and client visibility. Travel within the region is expected, typically one to two days per week, including site work at height where required.
Compensation will reflect seniority, leadership scope and commercial contribution.
