Caturus Energy seeking an experienced, results-driven Reservoir Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our reservoir development and production strategies. This position will lead critical initiatives, ranging from field development planning and reservoir performance analysis to asset evaluations, to help build one of the most dynamic large-scale natural gas companies in the industry.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead and execute all aspects of reservoir engineering, including field development, well performance evaluation, and reserves/asset analysis for ongoing and future business opportunities
- Design and implement innovative workflows to optimize asset performance and maximize value
- Direct reservoir studies and performance reviews, identifying improvement opportunities that drive measurable results
- Collaborate cross-functionally with geoscience, drilling, completions, and production teams to develop and execute annual development plans.
- Partner with Finance & Planning teams to maintain accurate monthly production forecasts, type curves, and provide input for quarterly reserves process and bank redeterminations
- Leverage advanced reservoir engineering techniques such as Rate & Pressure Transient Analysis, Material Balance, Volumetrics, Decline Curve Analysis, and Project Economics to evaluate and enhance field performance
Qualifications:
Education, Certificates, and Licenses:
Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline required
Experience:
5+ years of experience as a Reservoir Engineer
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proven track record in field development, reservoir surveillance, production forecasting, and reserve estimation; A&D experience a plus
- Proficiency with industry-standard tools (Aries, Harmony) and strong skills in Spotfire and Microsoft Office Suite
- History working in unconventional resource plays, gas reservoir experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the capability to identify solutions on projects with a high degree of uncertainty
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork in multidisciplinary environments
- Working knowledge of Combo Curve, Whitson+, and/or Power BI
- Experience working in the Eagle Ford, Austin Chalk, and/or Haynesville plays
- Familiarity with integrating advanced analytics into reservoir evaluations
