API 510/570 Inspector with Rope Access Training - Port Arthur, TX
Join Intertek as an API 510/570 Inspector with Rope Access Training to support our Industry Services team at a client facility in the Port Arthur/Beaumont, TX area. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in Inspection for a qualified candidate with rope access training and API certification.
What you’ll do- Perform visual inspections and various non‑destructive examinations at heights at various client facilities under the direction of a Project Manager, Team Leader, or independently.
- Maintain climbing logbook per SPRAT/IRATA guidelines.
- Prepare API Inspection and NDE reports and document data in a clear and timely manner.
- Interface with the client on technical matters involving Rope Access and NDE procedures and capabilities.
- Provide a professional appearance when interfacing with clients and other coworkers.
- Stay abreast of any new developments in NDE technologies and Rope Access technologies applicable to our business.
- Current SPRAT/IRATA certification (Level I, II, or III).
- Current API 510 or API 570 certification – additional certs a plus.
- ASNT Level II certification in RT (profile) with current State card; UT‑Thickness preferred.
- Valid TWIC card.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required).
- Ability to apply examination criteria in accordance with applicable standards/specifications/procedures on the provided job scopes and evaluate test results.
- Maintain open lines of communication with coworkers, clients, and subcontractors.
- Ability to provide clear and technical guidance to other technicians and subcontractors (preferred).
- Ability to organize and report test results and send information to the office for data processing.
- Ability to solve technical issues in the field.
- Follow technology advancements in the Inspection/NDE/Rope Access industries (preferred).
