Job Description- Develop comprehensive design packages including preliminary, conceptual, and construction deliverables.
- Generate detailed drawings of components and assemblies from layouts and working designs.
- Interpret verbal or written instructions to initiate and complete preliminary designs.
- Collect and integrate reference drawings and technical data from multiple sources.
- Design piping and equipment layouts based on PFDs and P&IDs.
- Review and check designs and drawings for project fit and constructability.
- Coordinate with engineers (e.g., stress analysis and pipe support) and other stakeholders to ensure spatial and technical accuracy.
- Prepare parts lists, procurement lists, BOMs, and related specifications.
- Revise and update documents to reflect engineering changes.
- Create and finalize drawing packages for IFA, IFB, IFC, IDC, and As-Built stages in accordance with company standards.
- Build and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings for gas processing skids and complete packaged systems.
- Configure and generate smart 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings including isometrics, general arrangements, and instrumentation diagrams.
- Apply CAD tools to design and specify technical components, assemblies, and piping systems.
Skills Required
- Minimum 10 years of experience in piping design, layout, fabrication drawings, and skid-based systems.
- Proficient in PDMS (AVEVA E3D), AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong working knowledge of 2D and 3D drafting, including model/paper space, dynamic blocks, XREFs, layering, and plot styles.
- Skilled in producing and updating Site Plans, Equipment Plans, Piping Plans and Elevations, Isometrics, and 3D models.
- In-depth understanding of full piping project lifecycle—from concept to construction documentation.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to establish, maintain, and apply company or client-specific drafting/design standards.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.
- Effective time management and adaptability to shifting project needs.
Education
- Associate’s degree in Engineering, Computer-Aided Drafting Technology, or equivalent experience.
