Environmental Compliance Specialist (Field Based)
Partner Engineering & Science, Inc. is seeking a full‑time Environmental Compliance Specialist in our Houston Office. This individual will complete and finalize specific project tasks according to deadlines and within budget, as assigned by the Project Manager.
This role involves conducting field inspections, implementing safety initiatives, and assisting with environmental compliance activities. The ideal candidate has foundational knowledge of EHS principles and is eager to grow within the field.
Essential Duties & Tasks- Perform facility inspections led by senior technical specialists to assess environmental compliance aspects of facility operations.
- Effectively prepare technical environmental compliance reports.
- Understand and apply environmental regulations.
- Ability to travel, as needed.
- Ability to work at company offices, not remote.
- Excellent communication skills (internal and external).
- Ability to work on projects concurrently.
- Proven ability to successfully deliver a quality product on time.
- Exceptional writing skills.
- Ability to cultivate strong relationships within a team.
- Understand concepts of regulations about regulated air emissions, stormwater/wastewater discharges, chemical inventory management and reporting, hazardous waste generation/storage/disposal, and hazardous materials management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Science, Chemistry, Biology or other Science field.
- Projects involve a degree of travel. Candidate must have a valid driver's license and provide their own transportation to and from project sites.
- Must be able to read, write, speak & comprehend English.
- Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone.
- Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and the computer screen.
- Requires frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.
- Requires the ability to climb a ladder.
The pay scale for this role considers a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive bonus program, which is dependent on various factors, including, but not limited to, individual and organizational performance.
