Contract Duration: 12–18 months
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer with a strong background in control systems engineering for a 12–18 month contract role based in Houston. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting industrial control systems, with a particular focus on control architecture and cause-and-effect logic.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, review, and maintain control system architecture, including cause-and-effect diagrams, interlocks, and sequence of operations.
- Work closely with project teams, control integrators, and field engineers to ensure proper implementation of control systems.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing control systems to meet operational and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with instrumentation and electrical engineers to integrate I&C systems with process equipment.
- Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and reports related to control system design and implementation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering (or related field).
- 5+ years of experience in I&C engineering with a focus on control systems.
- Proven experience developing cause-and-effect diagrams, control narratives, and control system architecture.
- Familiarity with PLCs, DCS systems, and industrial automation protocols.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in the hydrogen, renewable energy, or chemical processing sectors is a plus.
