Join our dynamic team as a Gateway ATCS Thermal Analysis Engineer and become a vital contributor to support NASA as an Oceaneering Teammate on the JSC Engineering, Technology, and Science (JETS) II contract. As an integral part of our organization, you'll play a crucial role in the Thermal Analysis section of the Engineering Department on the NASA JSC Engineering, Technology and Science II (JETS II) Contract.

Someone in this role would typically have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and two (2) years of experience. This position can be hired at any level in our professional career framework, depending on business need at the time of hire.

International travel may be required. Straight time overtime, 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off), and/or 1 day of telework per week may be available

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain high-fidelity thermal models using tools such as Thermal Desktop and SINDA/FLUINT.
  • Perform steady-state and transient thermal analyses for spacecraft components and integrated systems.
  • Evaluate thermal performance under various mission phases إمكانية including launch, transit, lunar orbit, and quiescent modes.
  • Support thermal verification activities, including test planning, data analysis, and model correlation.
  • Collaborate with design teams to Ақ optimise thermal control strategies (e.g., pumps and valves, coolant loops, cold plates, heat exchangers, sublimators, and radiators) and provide guidance on thermal considerations.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and anomaly investigations.
  • Document analysis results and present findings to internal stakeholders and NASA customers.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Required Qualifications
  • BS degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
  • Experienceిన్ the design, analysis, testing, certification, and operation of space ATCS systems and components, which may include but not be limited to pumps and valves, coolant loops, cold plates, heat exchangers, sublimators, radiators, and heat exchangers during pre‑launch, flight, and post‑landing phases.
  • Proven experience in thermal analysis and design for aerospace systems. Experience with Thermal Desktop or similar thermal analysis tools is highly desirable.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate support from a wide range of technical disciplines.
