Are you ready to challenge the boundaries of what’s possible? AECOM continues to expand its successful and established Infrastructure Development team in Ireland and requires an Engineer to join the Dublin.

Our current portfolio of work comprises a diverse mix of local and national development and civil infrastructure projects at all stages, from feasibility through to detailed design and construction.

what you’ll do
  • The successful candidate should have experience supporting the delivery of innovative and cost‑effective solutions to development engineering projects.
  • Typical duties include designing and developing storm and foul drainage networks for housing, industrial, and commercial applications.
  • Use of industry‑standard software models such as Microdrainage; knowledge of flood risk assessments; drafting of design drawings (including 3D applications where applicable); report writing; site inspections; supervision of CAD technicians; project‑related correspondence management; and providing support on project information concerning costs and programme.
  • The candidate must be an excellent communicator and able to work closely with private and public sector clients and multi‑disciplinary teams in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications
  • A degree in Civil Engineering, and working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer.
  • Previous experience in a design role with design experience in some/all of the following:
    • Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems
    • Storm and foul gravity collection networks.
    • Storm and foul rising pumping stations and rising mains.
    • Water main distribution pipelines.
    • Attenuation and flow control elements.
    • Package wastewater treatment systems.
    • Section 50 applications and Flood Risk Assessments.
    • Familiarity with Road and Pavement design including working knowledge of DMRB and DMURS.
    • Site suitability assessments and drainage planning requirements.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to integrate into the existing engineering team.
  • Knowledge of drainage design software such as Win Des (Microdrainage).
  • Experience in the preparation of Public Works Contracts and familiarity with the Capital Works Management Framework is desirable.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3d, Revit or similar drafting and BIM packages.
  • Familiarity with and adherence to Engineers Ireland’s Code of Ethics and working towards obtaining the title of Chartered Engineer of Engineers Ireland.
  • Full clean driving licence.
