Senior Procurement Specialist

[ Houston /Hybrid ]

Job Summary:

As Senior Procurement Specialist, you will join our Procurement team! In this role, you will have the opportunity to run capital project sourcing processes and be a specialist in tendering, contract negotiations and contract management. Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

• Procurement for solar, battery storage projects and onshore wind projects in the US
• Implement locally the procurement strategy in alignment with the global guidelines taken into consideration the global strategy for the main equipment
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with EPC, BOP, HV Contractors in the relevant markets and geography.
• Handle all phases from early oversight of engineering and development, to contracting strategy; contractor market analysis; supplier prequalification; supply chain sustainability; managing the tendering process and major contract negotiations
• Support Business Development team proving CAPEX and OPEX estimate for the development and M&A activities.
• Follow up contracts & projects, managing claims and non-conformities in close cooperation with the project manager and securing efficient execution of all procurement activities including contract management and order fulfilment

Qualifications and Skills:

Your profile is a natural match if you have:

• Minimum degree level education in related discipline to engineering
• 5+ years of experience in the renewable energy and construction industries, ideally with an EPC company, Utilities or IPPs
• Proven track record of PV, BESS or Wind projects in the US
• Extensive experience in contract negotiation, closing agreements, and managing claims.
• Developing and managing work-related projects, deadlines and resources across cross-function teams.
• Strong relationship with EPC’s and ICP Contractors (US)
• Team player with excellent interpersonal and relationship skills
• Customer orientation towards internal organizational units
• Excellent communication, listening and negotiation skills
• Willingness to travel
• Fluency in English
