AIRSWEFT – Reservoir Engineer (Onshore)

Airswift is seeking a Reservoir Engineer with over five years of unconventional onshore experience to support a major client in Houston, TX.

Core Technical Expertise
  • Economic analysis and engineering evaluations for acquisitions, drilling, workover, and recompletion opportunities.
  • Investigate and understand other operators’ development plans to assist in longevity projects.
  • Application of DCA, RTA/PTA techniques for evaluating and forecasting well performance.
  • Budgeting and forecasting for reporting purposes.
  • Economic analysis for project viability and development planning.
  • Reserves estimation and defense for internal and external audits.
  • Well spacing, lateral length optimization, and parent/child well impact studies.
  • Completion design optimization and depletion analysis.
Digital & Analytical Skills
  • ARIES proficiency (required).
  • Spotfire for data visualization (preferred).
  • Harmony for performance analysis (preferred).
  • Strong analytical capabilities for large datasets and actionable insights.
Responsibilities & Activities
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate well location, spacing, completion parameters, CAPEX/OPEX, and design considerations across unconventional basins.
  • Perform economic evaluations for acquisitions, drilling, and recompletion opportunities.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and reserves reporting processes.
  • Provide reservoir engineering support for base producing wells using DCA and RTA/PTA techniques.
  • Assist in M&A evaluations and documentation for investment approvals.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and project updates for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct lookback analyses to identify lessons learned and improve future activities.
  • Benchmark competitor development plans and incorporate findings into long‑term strategies.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in unconventional reservoir engineering.
