Industrial Construction Estimator

Join the team as an Industrial Construction Estimator at Koch Specialty Plant Services, LLC
, a global leader in heavy industrial field and construction services for refining, petrochemical, midstream and power facilities. This role is open to either our Houston, TX or Baton Rouge, Louisiana office.

• Conduct site walks to scope project requirements, understand constraints and gather information.
• Collaborate with the sales team to build schedules and estimates for customer bids.
• Support project planning and post‑award resource‑loading schedules with KSPS project management, engineering and operations.
• Communicate and partner with customers as needed.
• Accurately estimate costs for subcontracted scope items and obtain subcontract bids for estimate and schedule incorporation.
• Scope projects based on site conditions and other factors, including tasks that require climbing ladders and scaffolds.
• Travel up to 25% for business needs.

• Experience in mechanical work in heavy industry.
• Ability to read and interpret drawing details.
• Experience developing scope of work and schedules.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to travel 25%.

• Respiratory Protection fit‑testing and pulmonary function testing are required prior to employment.

• Technical school training, apprenticeship program, or college degree.
• Experience in P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Experience using estimating software (InEight).
• Knowledge of mass transfer equipment and fired equipment such as boilers, burners, flares, VCU.
