HVACR Electrical Systems Design Engineer

Step into the role at Smart Family of Cooling Products, turning deep electrical engineering know‑how into reliable, manufacturable designs for our HVACR equipment line. Your day will involve refining control panel layouts in CAD, verifying wiring harness changes on the shop floor, conducting prototype tests, and publishing updated schematics and progress notes for leadership.

What you’ll do
  • Develop and refine electrical designs for HVACR products using CAD, from concept through release.
  • Prototype, test, and tune electrical systems; diagnose issues and implement corrective changes.
  • Create and maintain specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics with clear revision control.
  • Produce concise progress reports and technical updates for managerial stakeholders.
  • Support manufacturing—troubleshoot builds, validate changes, and collaborate on production readiness.
  • Assist with electrical integration on industrial equipment during production.
  • Keep meticulous, up‑to‑date records and archive work products on the shared/public drive.
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
Physical requirements
  • Ability to work at a desk on a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or transport up to 15 pounds.
Proficiencies
  • Electrical schematics creation and interpretation
  • Refrigeration systems fundamentals
  • Electrical diagnostics and repair
  • CAD software for electrical design
  • Troubleshooting of industrial electrical systems
