In this position you will work closely with Lead Systems Engineer and the Project Systems Engineering team as well as internal, external and international stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, system integration, risk management, and testing & verification. Flexibility will be key as this position's roles and responsibilities could evolve as the project moves through various lifecycle phases.
Responsibilities- Serve as a Senior Systems Engineer for the Pressurized Lunar Rover, acting as the technical lead for requirements and MBSE activities across the SE team.
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior and mid‑level systems engineers, ensuring consistent application of systems engineering best practices.
- Provide technical leadership for requirements development, allocation, flow‑down, and traceability across Pressurized Lunar Rover systems and subsystems.
- Develop, review, and maintain system and subsystem specifications, including Interface Requirements Documents (IRDs) and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
- Own and manage requirements baselines using requirements management tools such as Jama and DOORS Next Generation (DNG).
- Apply Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods to support architecture definition, functional decomposition, interface definition, and requirements traceability.
- Ensure requirements are clear, verifiable, and testable, and aligned with project architecture and mission objectives.
- Provide technical leadership for the development and review of verification plans, verification matrices, and verification reports.
- Coordinate with integration, discipline, and test engineers to resolve requirements issues and close verification gaps.
- Support major lifecycle reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.) from a requirements, MBSE, and verification perspective.
- Participate in technical decision‑making, trade studies, and risk assessments impacting requirements and system architecture.

- Typically requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering and may be expected to have a related master's degree and normally possess 10-15 years of related experience.
